Over the course of the festive season we’ll be bringing you an advent calendar’s worth of tax and financial tips.  Some of them might even be a little Christmassy!  Day 23 of advent and we’re nearly at the end of our tax tip odyssey.  In fact, this instalment isn’t even a tax tip, but you will find it useful.

Conduct a personal financial review

This should be high on your list of priorities in the new year, especially if you’ve not reviewed your finances for a number of years.

How would your or your family’s finances cope if you were to get seriously ill and unable to work?  Would your business struggle without a key member of staff?  Are your current insurance policies giving you the cover you need?  What does your retirement look like at the moment?

These are all important questions that shouldn’t be put off.  A full review of your finances with an Independent Financial Advisor will help you come up with a plan for most eventualities.
