Tax Help For Landlords

On 20 September 2013 HMRC announced a crackdown on buy-to-let landlords.  According to their figures 1.5 million residential property landlords are underpaying £500 million in tax.  As usual, the message from HMRC is “…it is better to come to us before we come to you.” For a period of time HMRC have agreed to be much more lenient with those who come forward to get their tax situation sorted out.

If you have a rental property that you haven’t been declaring to HMRC then the position is very simple –  use this opportunity to get your affairs up to date or risk much higher penalties in the future if you don’t.

At Jonathan Ford & Co we have an in-house property tax specialist who can deal with bringing everything up to date and keep your tax bill and penalties to a minimum.

To get started you can contact us on 0151 426 4512 or email jmansley@jonathanford.co.uk

We’ve also produced a brilliant guide – 5 Essential Non-Tax Tips for Landlords – which you can download for free.  Just complete the form below.
