The Redknapp Defence

The tax evasion case on Harry Redknapp is in full flow at the moment. But can Harry claim a victory if he’s found not guilty? It strikes me that a defence which hinges on a jury believing that you’re a disorganised semi literate fool is a bit of a Catch 22. I’m sure HMRC are gunning for a high profile scalp and Harry would fit the bill nicely for them. I’m sure they also want to send a message out that all taxpayers are ultimately responsible for their tax affairs whether they have an accountant or not!
